IX.Olympiade 1928 Amsterdam. 2e Pris R.Cerro Argentiné voor Voetbal“. Design by C.J.van der Hoef. Signed by the NOC president A.Schimmelpenninck and IOC president Baillet-Latour (64x44 cm). Framed, 71 x 51 cm. Roberto Cherro (1907-1965) and his team lost in the final against Uruguay. He was a finalist at the Football World Cup 1930, again losing against archrival Uruguay. One of the most beautiful Olympic diplomas, black-gold print in Art Deco style. Diploma with cuts. Missing piece was added by hand. This is the first diploma of Olympic finalist Argentina which is offered in an auction. Smaples of the Argentinean football team of 1928 and 1932 are hardly to be found. Condition: A-
