Programme 1938. Germany v Aston Villa in Berlin - 15th May 1938, Berlin. Size 15x22cm, 32 pages with photos. The German selection was, with one exemption Jacob Streitel, Bayer Munich) an austrian National Team! The match should have taken place in Austria, but due to their alliance with Hitler's Germany the match was moved to Berlin and the Austrians wer suddenly "Germans" and the match was in preperation for the 1938 WC. Interestingly enough the real German Team played against England one day earlier, also in Berlin (3:6). The programme reports on Aston Villa and the clubs history. Condition: B
