Copy of a letter dated July 17, 1954, from the files of Kurt Gassmann, General Secretary of FIFA, regarding the missing German flag during the final on July 4, 1954 in Bern!!! --The letter about the missing German flag at the 1954 final was written by E. Thommen, President of the 1954 World Cup Organizing Committee. This unique, unknown document would have caused a diplomatic scandal today! We have been unable to find any written documentation of this incident, but the German flag is missing from black-and-white photos of the final! The letter documents a piece of forgotten history! These prices do not yet include VAT, i.e. 7% VAT will be added when the invoice is issued.
For those who cannot attend the public auction in person, there is the possibility to place bids via the online portal or submit written bidding orders.
In the case of written orders, the auctioneer will aim to secure the item at the best possible price.

a) No one else bids – you win the item for €100.
b) Someone bids €100 – you win the item for €110.
c) Someone bids €130 – you are outbid.
In special cases and upon agreement with the auctioneer, bidding by telephone during the auction is also possible.
The price you specify in your order is the hammer price, excluding buyer’s premium and VAT.
The buyer’s premium (auction fee) is 16.5%.
The total price is calculated as follows:
Hammer price + 16.5% buyer’s premium + shipping costs (if applicable) = Subtotal + 7% VAT = Final price
Items can be paid for and taken immediately after the auction.
For bids placed via the auction portal or written orders, items can be shipped upon request. In this case, shipping and packaging costs are borne by the buyer.
