Official winner's medal of the Austrian team for third place at the 5th FIFA World Cup in Switzerland in 1954. "Championat du Monde Coupe Jules Rimet Suisse 1954" silver, stamped (925 silver, 14.35 g). Manufacturer: "PEKA", 3.6 x 2.3 cm. Includes a box in the style of the original packaging from 1954. --From a player on the Austrian team. The Austrian team won the third-place match against Uruguay 3-1. Only 13 medals were issued to the Austrian team. The world champions received a gold medal (750 gold), and second-place Hungary received a gold-plated silver medal (FIFA Regulations 1954 Art. 1, Paragraph 4) (925 silver - however, the gold plating on the Hungarian medals was usually very badly rubbed off by cleaning the medal, as the gold plating was very thin and the silver caused more severe discoloration on the medals). Hammer price + 16.5% buyer’s premium + shipping costs (if applicable) = Subtotal + 7% VAT = Final price
Items can be paid for and taken immediately after the auction.
For bids placed via the auction portal or written orders, items can be shipped upon request. In this case, shipping and packaging costs are borne by the buyer.
