Winner's medal for first place at the 1948 St. Moritz Winter Olympics. "Vmy Olympic Winter Games St. Moritz 1948." Gold-plated silver (hallmarked, 925 silver, weight: 100 grams). Manufacturer: Huguenin, 6 cm. Engraved with ""Echantillon" (Sample). --This is Sample from the Huguenin company, presented to the IOC/OC for testing in 1947/48. After the IOC/OC approved this Sample, the medal minting began. This Sample coin is identical to the winner's medals down to the smallest detail and weight. It has similar pieces for the silver and bronze medals, engraved with "Echantillon." There is some minor gold wear along the edges. 41 gold medals were issued! Condition: A-

The buyer’s premium (auction fee) is 16.5%.
The total price is calculated as follows:
Hammer price + 16.5% buyer’s premium + shipping costs (if applicable) = Subtotal + 7% VAT = Final price
Items can be paid for and taken immediately after the auction.
For bids placed via the auction portal or written orders, items can be shipped upon request. In this case, shipping and packaging costs are borne by the buyer.
