Needle broken off, but present. --This boycott call had been supported since 1935 by Communists and Social Democrats, who worked together in the Jansson Mineur Committee (1935–1938), an organization that campaigned for the release of two Swedish sailors who had been imprisoned in Nazi Germany in 1935 and remained in prison during the 1936 Olympic Games.
