Olympic Games Verlin 1936 Australian Team: Original menu card from the Australian Olympic team's trip to the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games. A special card celebrating the 21st birthday of swimmer Kitty Mackay (4th place in Berlin). Includes the menu and the inscription "Dinner tendered at sea to Miss Kitty Mackay on the R.M.S. "Mongolia" by fellow members of the Australian Olympic Team on the occasion of her 21st birthday, June 5, 1936." On the reverse, 22 original signatures of the Australian Olympic team are included. 4-page cardstock, 21.5 x 14 cm. Includes the only Australian medalist at the 1936 Olympics, Jack Metcalfe (1912-1994; triple jump bronze). --A total of 33 Australian athletes traveled to Berlin. The price you specify in your order is the hammer price, excluding buyer’s premium and VAT.
The buyer’s premium (auction fee) is 16.5%.
The total price is calculated as follows:
Hammer price + 16.5% buyer’s premium + shipping costs (if applicable) = Subtotal + 7% VAT = Final price
Items can be paid for and taken immediately after the auction.
For bids placed via the auction portal or written orders, items can be shipped upon request. In this case, shipping and packaging costs are borne by the buyer.
