Olympic Games Berlin 1936 Gold Winner medal: Gold winner's medal "11th Berlin Olympics 1936" by Ernst Ihbe (1913-1992; GER) for first place in the 2000 m tandem sprint with Carl Lorenz. Punched on the edge with the manufacturer's mark "B.H. Mayer, Pforzheim 990." Silver (hallmarked 990, weight: 74 grams), gold-plated, 5.5 cm in the original leather case with embossed lid. --Medal (Condition: A-B) slightly tarnished; small dents on the edge and traces of gold testing. (The medal of Carl Lorenz (1913-1993), which AGON sold around 1995, showed similar marks. Both athletes evidently believed this medal to be made of solid gold and were visibly disappointed. Both medals have dents. Note: W. Fuhr, Expert AGON.) Case heavily rubbed; gold embossing no longer present (Condition: C). The price you specify in your order is the hammer price, excluding buyer’s premium and VAT.

The buyer’s premium (auction fee) is 16.5%.

The total price is calculated as follows:

Hammer price + 16.5% buyer’s premium + shipping costs (if applicable) = Subtotal + 7% VAT = Final price

Items can be paid for and taken immediately after the auction.

For bids placed via the auction portal or written orders, items can be shipped upon request. In this case, shipping and packaging costs are borne by the buyer.
