Wall plaque for the first German national coach (national coach) of the German national team. A gift from the German national players on the occasion of the first scouting course in 1926. With the inscription "To our dear sports teacher Mr. O. Nerz z. Eg. To the first Olympic course 1926" and "from his candidates." All engraved on a large bronze plaque (24 x 19 cm) by the Düsseldorf sculptor Wieh. Below is a bronze plaque engraved with the 31 names of the players from the first scouting course in 1926. With the appointment of Otto Nerz as national coach on July 1, 1926, the DFB (German Football Association) broke new ground for the national football team. Nerz had already made a name for himself as a football expert and tactician. He made his coaching debut on October 31, 1926, with a 3-2 away win against the Netherlands.
